Sarah Dugger creates abstract floral paintings. These works showcase tightly packed, highly patterned flora and fauna that dynamically interact with a flat expanse of saturated color, creating a boisterous interplay between positive and negative space. Luminous pearlized paint dazzles against rich, matte hues. These paintings aim to capture the ordered chaos of a garden at its peak
Her 2025 exhibitions have been at The Hamptons Fine Art Fair and San Francisco Art Fair. Dugger’s work has been selected for the prestigious 2023 Ohio Biennial, Riffe Gallery, Columbus, OH; 46th International Art show, Brownsville Museum of Art, Brownsville TX; and 73rd Ohio Annual, Zanesville Museum of Art, Zanesville, OH.
She has also been selected for various group exhibitions at ADC Gallery, Cincinnati, OH; Loves Gallery, Southampton, NY; WASH Gallery, Houston TX; Old Courthouse Arts Center, Woodstock, IL; Ellington-White Contemporary Gallery, Fayetteville, NC; Spinning Plate Gallery, Pittsburgh, PA; Ann Arbor Art Center, Ann Arbor, MI; Louis Palmer Gallery, Muskingham University, Muskingham, OH.
The Ohio Arts Council awarded Sarah a Teaching Residency in 2023 at Dover High School. And, in 2021, Dugger accepted a Visiting Artist invitation (workshop, lecture, guest juror) from fibers professor, Meredith Grimsley, at Bloomsburg University, Bloomsburg, PA. She currently lives and works in Dover, Ohio.
